Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 SP1 is getting hard to find. Official links to download it from Microsoft are disappearing, although hidden direct links can still be found at the moment.
For this and other reasons, among them that I wish to use the SDK that comes with the Xilinx Embedded Development Kit, I wish to be able to compile the API with GNU tools. What sort of effort would this entail?
Hello Kevin, VS2010/2012 should be able to compile with a bit of extra efforts. I am not sure what would be the efforts in order to use our api in a GNU environment. Best Regards, Arnaud

Thanks for the reply. In my sad experience, "a little extra effort" to make a process work with different tools can become a nightmare that lasts for days. In addition, while VS 2008 is still available for free, VS 2010/2012 are very expensive and requiring them to use your software amounts to a hidden cost to your customers.
Best wishes,
Kevin

Wonderful! I had no idea there was an express verison of VS 2010.
So far, by the way, I'm having a lot of fun and success with the FMC150, Stellar-IP and the Xilinx environment. Thanks!
